I want to rise in support of H.R. 6081, the Heroes Earnings Assistance and Relief Tax Act of 2008. I particularly want to point out that this product that is before us today is bipartisan. It is clear that both Republicans and Democrats want to ensure that our men and women in uniform, those who stand and every day place their lives at risk to defend our freedoms and the values that our Nation represents, that we provide help for them and their families. I commend Chairman Rangel and ranking member Mr. McCrery for their leadership in putting together this bipartisan bill that helps our military and their families. I urge a bipartisan 'aye' vote.
