When we said we wanted to commend the Million Mom March and we wanted to bring the gun safety bill out of committee, it took the Republicans 5 hours to come up with an alternative, a substitute, which, if you read it, is, first, a diatribe against the Clinton administration and, second, the reaffirmation of the principles of the National Rifle Association.”
