Further inquiring of the Senator from Washington, if we are going to talk about accountability and results in education--and we have a program where school districts will be held accountable, Senators will be held accountable in terms of reaching the goal of 100,000 new teachers, and we can measure how many teachers are being hired, we can measure class size, and results--are we not going to lose accountability if we accept the Republican approach of basically just sending the money, with no strings attached, to the school districts?
