The clerk will report the nomination. The senior assistant legislative clerk read the nomination of Ronald L. Davis, of California, to be Director of the United States Marshals Service. Thereupon, the Senate proceeded to consider the nomination. The ACTING PRESIDENT pro tempore. The question is, Will the Senate advise and consent to the Davis nomination? The nomination was confirmed.
