I want to take a moment to respond to [Committee Republicans’] claim at Todd Blanche’s confirmation hearing that Democrats never criticized the Biden Justice Department’s actions. This is simply and provably false.

He [Jack Smith] has agreed voluntarily to come before this Senate Judiciary Committee and answer questions under oath… [Republicans] owe it to him to tell his story under oath and [Republicans] refused to [bring him before the Committee]…

You are dancing on the head of a pin here… We have these survivors who have the courage to come before this Committee and tell their terrible stories of how they were exploited.

Is this the man we want to confirm to be the head of the premier law enforcement agency in America? With Mr. Blanche, it is clear that justice is secondary to loyalty to the President.
