Senator Shaheen has been a champion in the Senate at keeping attention on the Balkan region, and I am pleased to join her for this timely trip—just days after an election in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Amid these challenges, judges have performed their duties capably and courageously. I have implored executive branch officials and my colleagues in Congress to support our judges in the face of these attacks.

Changes of this magnitude with no discernible justification must be scrutinized.
