This July, Pat Hughes--the voice of Cubs baseball and a Chicago legend--was awarded the 2023 Ford C. Frick Award by the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY--the highest honor in broadcasting. Born in Tucson, AZ, Pat was raised in San Jose, CA. His father worked in the education department at San Jose State University, where Pat would later enroll.
