Fortunately, as of last month, the Bureau finally has a chance at a fresh start. Earlier today, the Judiciary Committee welcomed the Bureau's newly appointed Director, Colette Peters, who testified about her vision for America's Federal prison system. And based on her testimony, I am hopeful that her leadership will mark a critical turning point for the Bureau of Prisons.
