Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Postal Police Reform Act of 2023''. SEC. 2. ROLE AND DUTIES OF USPS POLICE OFFICERS. (a) In General.--Section 3061(c) of title 18, United States Code, is amended-- (1) by striking ``(c)(1)'' and all that follows through the end of paragraph (1) and inserting the following: ``(c)(1)(A) The Postal Service may employ police officers for duty in connection with the protection of-- ``(i) the mail; ``(ii) property owned or occupied by the Postal Service or under the charge and control of the Postal Service; ``(iii) persons on the property described in clause (ii); and ``(iv) on-duty employees of the Postal Service in any location in the United States.…
