I ask unanimous consent that when the Senate completes its business today, it adjourn until 2 p.m. on Monday, July 25; that following the prayer and pledge, the Journal of proceedings be approved to date, the morning hour be deemed expired, and the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use later in the day; that following any leader remarks the Senate be in a period of morning business until 4:30 p.m. with Senators permitted to speak for up to 10 minutes each; further, that at 4:30 p.m., the Senate observe a moment of silence in memory of Officer Jacob J. Chestnut and Detective John M. Gibson of the United States Capitol Police who were killed 13 years ago in the line of duty defending this Capitol, the people who work here, and its visitors against an armed intruder; finally, I ask unanimous consent that following morning business, the Senate proceed to executive session under the previous order.
