My amendment is very simple. It will make surviving spouses eligible for assistance from the SBA's Veterans Business Centers.

Our motto here is, if you were there, we care. And we need to make sure that we truly do care and don't just give it lip service.

My first bill is H.R. 1335, which would prohibit the collection of co-payments and other fees from catastrophically disabled veterans.

It is about the benefits. It is about everything that is due to our veterans and that we are not doing, so I want to make sure that whatever it is that comes of this, that we do a better job.
