There's no doubt, look, part of governing is there's going to be give- and-take, on issues, like spending, particularly in a divided Congress. But the question is whether you should use the debt ceiling, and the threat of essentially blowing up the global economy, in a way that will hurt families, and communities, across the country, as a bargaining chip.
