You know, last year, we passed a relatively modest gun control or gun safety law out of the United States Congress after Uvalde, and still Republicans in the House led by Kevin McCarthy moved against it.

There's no doubt about that. But I also want to say this. You know, all presidents sort of feed off of perceptions of the person who came before and they want to position against what people found lacking in the person that came before.
I think Democrats would be very foolish to go all Marjorie Taylor Greene here and WWE stuff and so on. I think they should respond. But I don't think they should, you know, heckle and do the kinds of things that some have talked about.
Unless the economy and his numbers rebound, Republicans are going to feel less willing to follow him blindly.
