I don't think that there is any doubt in anybody's mind that Professor Yunus is deserving of such an honor. But it's not really just about honoring Professor Yunus. It's really about advancing the concept that he created, microlending, that not only has been a boon to underdeveloped nations, some of the millions of people who live in poverty each and every day of their lives wondering how they're going to be able to etch their way out of it; but we also see it in our country, in the United States of America, where just today we increased the limits on our microlending program through the Small Business Administration in the bill that we passed earlier from $35,000 to $50,000.
