I would like to highlight the fact that the Lucas Berg Pit project is among those reports directed to be expedited. Lucas Berg Pit is in Worth in my district, the third district of Illinois. Work on Lucas Berg Pit was initiated in FY 2003. This work is ongoing, but it is taking longer than necessary. It is my hope that the Army Corps of Engineers will take notice of the Congressional intent and expedite the Lucas Berg Pit project, as directed in this important water resources legislation.
