I’m glad to work alongside my colleagues and local leaders in Illinois to announce more than $3.8 million in federal funding to support noise mitigation around Chicago Executive Airport.

This July 4th marks four years since Katherine Goldstein, Irina and Kevin McCarthy, Jacquelyn Sundheim, Nicolas Toledo-Zaragoza, Stephen Straus, and Eduardo Uvaldo were murdered in a senseless act of gun violence.

This project will support the health and well-being of nearby residents while ensuring the airport can continue to serve Cook County.

I’m proud to have worked closely with my colleague on the Ways and Means Committee Rep. Blake Moore to advance this legislation through the House.
