“Mr. Speaker, I rise for two reasons today. One, I rise in support of this motion to instruct the Defense appropriations to support the highest level of funding for the humanitarian crisis in the Sudan. Secondly, Mr. Speaker, I rise to talk this morning just for a moment on shame. Mr. Speaker, what is going on in the Sudan right now is a tragedy. It is unconscionable, and it is a shame. Mr. Speaker, what we have today in genocide is a shame.
