We don't have to look any further. Just look at the financial collapse and see what these kinds of unfettered regulations have done to jobs in this country and to jobs for the American people. This approach has put our entire economy on the brink of disaster. After a financial collapse, here you are today, trying to bring forth a collapse in terms of environmental protections--a collapse in terms of protecting us by changing the air that we breathe. Mr. Chairman, I urge all of my colleagues to oppose this egregious and dangerous bill.
