This Act may be cited as the ``Hydropower Policy Modernization Act of 2017''. SEC. 2. HYDROPOWER REGULATORY IMPROVEMENTS. (b) Modifying the Definition of Renewable Energy to Include Hydropower.--Section 203 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (42 U.S.C. 15852) is amended-- (1) in subsection (a), by amending paragraphs (1) through (3) to read as follows: ``(1) Not less than 17 percent in fiscal years 2017 through 2019. ``(2) Not less than 20 percent in fiscal years 2020 through 2024.…”
