Honestly, when I was first elected to Congress, I was not prepared for the numbers and the types of stories that I heard from family members who have lost loved ones to substance abuse. The urgency of this deadly epidemic requires us to work together and work smart as a community and a Nation to fight back. It requires that we use the best available science and spend our money where we know it does the most good.…
