It's not the job of the U.S. to choose Iraqi leaders but at the same time during a background call that the administration had with reporters here at the White House, senior administration officials were making it pretty darn clear that they don't mind if Nouri al-Maliki leaves the scene so long as it's part of the Iraqi constitutional process
Obama emphasized that the U.S. does not want to dictate Iraqi leadership but is open to changes in leadership through constitutional means.
