It is an honor to pay tribute to my dear friend and lifelong hero, Bill Russell. On the court, Bill was the greatest champion in basketball history. But we all know that he stood just as tall off of it. Alongside giants like Dr. King and Muhammad Ali, bill fought for racial justice and human dignity and he never stopped speaking up for what was right, even when people tried to silence him.
