Barack Obama: “I encourage the people of the United States to join together and give thanks for all we have received in the past year.”

Please join me in supporting Sherrod Brown. He’ll always fight for Ohio.

This race is going to be close. It could determine which party controls the Senate and whether Ohioans can count on the people in Washington to be fighting for you.

When we choose, when we make that decision, I do believe – and there is evidence for this – that the world gets incrementally better, and that is a worthy goal and it’s worth fighting for.

I think when we act on that basis, it doesn't always work out, but over time things do get better.
