Barack Obama: “Police officers are essential members of our communities—maintaining our way of life depends on their dedicated efforts…”

It shows me somebody who’s not focused on the American people and the job they’re supposed to do.

I thought this was the South Side of Chicago.

At least one of our major parties has been captured by politics that is not that subtle about suggesting that ‘We the people’ means a certain kind of people.

I hope this center will serve as an affirmation of just how special, how precious our democracy truly is.
