Barack Obama: “I am not somebody who promotes same-sex marriage, but I do believe in civil unions.”

I thought this was the South Side of Chicago.

People aren't looking for perpetual anger and division. They are looking for fairness and common sense and mutual respect, that deep in our gut, we want to find a way to turn towards each other again, not further away.

That's what I hope every visitor to this center takes away from their experience.
