Barack Obama: “What matters is your willingness to take responsibility for yourself and your family and your community and your Nation.”

That's what I hope every visitor to this center takes away from their experience.

I thought this was the South Side of Chicago.

People aren't looking for perpetual anger and division. They are looking for fairness and common sense and mutual respect, that deep in our gut, we want to find a way to turn towards each other again, not further away.

And there’s no reason to suggest that we can’t get through this one either.
