I think the interesting point of this is that the very point of criticism that the Clinton administration official made about the Marine Corps is really in essence their strength. The Marine Corps is a service that did not bend to the winds of political correctness when this mixed gender training was requested by the Clinton administration. Today, my service, the U.S. Army, has representatives around the country in courts-martial trying to explain what happened to young women who were injected into basic training with young men in very close quarters, and all of the tragedies that resulted from that. The Marine Corps is one service that perhaps, more than all of the others, has kept its tradition of duty, honor and country, and Chuck Krulak, the Commandant, is one of the very, very best. So I think we will come out of this with a stronger Marine Corps, more adherence to tradition, and a stronger America.
