What the gentleman has described is true. As I understand, in talking to a member of the State assembly, the bill to deny illegal aliens, and this was Jan Goldsmith who represents Poway in San Diego County, the bill to deny illegal aliens the right to a duplicate driver's license, even though it is obvious that the driver's license was fraudulently issued, was passed out of committee. His bill to deny them this right was passed out of committee by, I believe, a single vote. I believe every member of the Democrat Party voted against that. Now, I am not positive on the breakdown of the vote, but as I understand, it was a very, very narrow vote to pass the ban coming out of committee on this activity.
