On March 22, 2012, I was unavoidably detained because fog delayed my return flight from Illinois and I was unable to cast a vote on H.R. 5, the Protecting Access to Healthcare Act. Had I been able to I would have cast an ``aye'' vote in favor of final passage of this legislation. I would also have cast an ``aye'' vote in favor of Amendment No. 1 by Representative Woodall; a ``no'' vote against Amendment No. 2 by Representative Bonamici; and an ``aye'' vote in favor of Amendment No. 6 by Representative Stearns. The Acting CHAIR. There being no further amendments, under the rule, the Committee rises. Accordingly, the Committee rose; and the Speaker pro tempore (Mr. Yoder) having assumed the chair, Mrs. Miller of Michigan, Acting Chair of the Committee of the Whole House on the state of the Union, reported that that Committee, having had under consideration the bill (H.R. 5) to improve patient access to health care services and provide improved medical care by reducing the excessive burden the liability system places on the health care delivery system, and, pursuant to House Resolution 591, she reported the bill, as amended by that resolution, back to the House with sundry further amendments adopted in the Committee of the Whole. The SPEAKER pro tempore. Under the rule, the previous question is ordered. Is a separate vote demanded on any further amendment reported from the Committee of the Whole?
