Last year was an ugly budget year. I understand why it was. We were overspending.

I have learned not to make promises I can't keep because you are dealing with hundreds of years of broken promises.

I have always said, in the East, you try to get rid of water. In the West, we try to preserve every drop of water.

It is a travesty what is happening with law enforcement and the need out on the reservations.
