Brad Little: “Wildfire is reality in life in the West. We cannot eliminate the threat, but we can be ready for it.”

Idaho Gov. Brad Little, a Republican, signed a wildfire disaster emergency Tuesday and ordered the Idaho National Guard to help fight a fire along the border of Oregon and Idaho.

My declaration taps into additional state resources and enables us to deploy the Idaho National Guard to support firefighting efforts and protect Idahoans.
