I think you two gentlemen have laid out a plan that addresses the fundamental weakness of our current farm policy.

If you take SNAP and you reduce it or you eliminate it, you are obviously going to impact not just the poor families that are receiving it.

It’s very direct, and I think it speaks significantly and centrally to the challenges that many Iowa farmers face today.

If you raise the minimum wage, you would reduce the SNAP population by a significant amount.
