I think you two gentlemen have laid out a plan that addresses the fundamental weakness of our current farm policy.

I would say, frankly, that as a Nation we have underfunded research in agriculture for far too long.

It is physically demanding and at times dangerous.

I hope that that factor is taken into consideration, given the importance of this Department
