Respite care programs recognize the vitally important work that families do when a loved one is struck with illness or disability. I have long been a supporter of home and community-based services to keep people with disabilities in their homes and respite care is an important part of that effort. For that reason, I will work with my colleague, Senator Specter, to obtain funding for the Lifespan Respite Care Act in conference.
