“Exactly. I appreciate my colleague from California. She is right on target. I know my friend from California, the distinguished Senator, has been in the forefront of fighting for the things that will help people have better lives, especially in health care, and to ease the pain and suffering of people, especially juvenile diabetics. As the Senator knows, the families tell us that perhaps one of the first therapies that could come from embryonic stem cell research would be for these kids suffering from juvenile diabetes. What a great day that would be. I thank the Senator for her comments and strong leadership in all the areas of health care, and I thank California, through her, for the leadership they have shown.”
