I am very proud of my service on the agriculture appropriations subcommittee, and I am very proud of our chairman and ranking member for the bill they put together. It is a good bill. I am going to vote for it because it provides needed funding for a range of programs and activities important not only to farm families and rural communities but to consumers and our Nation generally. I thank our agriculture appropriations chairman, Senator Cochran, and the ranking Democratic member, Senator Kohl, for their hard work on this bill. I appreciate the opportunity to have worked with them, and I thank them for their cooperation in responding to my views on various items in this legislation. I commend them for their work in putting this bill together. Overall, it is a good bill.
