Mr. Trump has brought back into politics, back into the narrative here, Democrats, Republicans, independents and he's brought people back into the political process that have felt disenfranchised.

You cannot look at this campaign through the regular prism of what we've seen over the past 50, 60 years in presidential politics.

I would tell him this. I would say allow this to cool. Allow this to settle itself. Allow this to become a disagreement among professionals, and allow -- and then to settle it as professionals.

I cannot believe that we have so many people that are so out of touch with what's going on in this country.
