Joni Kay Ernst is an American politician serving as the junior United States senator from Iowa since January 6, 2015. A member of the Republican Party, she is the first woman to represent Iowa in the U.S. Senate. Ernst has focused on issues such as agriculture, rural development, and veterans' affairs throughout her tenure. She has been an advocate for bipartisan efforts to address the needs of rural communities and has emphasized the importance of legislation that supports farmers and agricultural interests in Iowa.
I believe that we can't forget their sacrifices against this type of enemy, and that Iran's long-term objective is to defeat both the United States and Iraqi interests in Iraq.
Since September 2014, Health and Human Services has dropped over 300,000 individuals from Obamacare because those individuals have failed to document their legal residency.
I would echo that if there is legislation that we can work on to force the issue along, I am happy to do that.
I have noticed, though, that the number of programs that are identified for cost savings and those that are identified with fragmentation, they seem to decline every year.

I understand we have a need to protect our taxpayers, but we have a need to protect not only our men and women in uniform but also all of our Americans here in our homeland.
Thank you for being here and raising such an important issue on a wide range of interests, especially to Iowa, from small businesses and individual inventors to our universities as well.
