“in regard to this amendment, I am agreeing to take this amendment. I had concerns about how the original amendment would affect farmers in my State of Iowa. I have discussed with the Senator from Louisiana my concerns without fully knowing the impact of this amendment on that. And he knows I am reserving my right to work on this language further in conference to clarify its intent. I appreciate Senator Johnston's efforts that he has already taken to narrow his original amendment. So I do accept the amendment at this point in time.”
