Isn't it possible that that discharge order contributed to GM's lax approach to safety defects on cars built by the old GM?

The administration needs to look at all options available to keep our families safe, and they need to move quickly and responsibly.

How many of those recalls, to your knowledge, relate to problems that were known to someone in GM before the bankruptcy sale order of July 2009?
