I'm glad to see the Subcommittee tackling the issue of broadband expansion this early in the Congress, because there is an important link between broadband expansion and economic development.

I would say that the centerpiece of our work in the 112th Congress was passage of the Veterans Retraining Assistance Program as part of the VOW to Hire Heroes Act.
