I call it the thousand pages of pain and the billionaires' gain. It is bad enough that my colleagues have been on the floor talking about how this bill is going to hurt people on Medicaid, taking food away from our children and families…

So the rampant corruption of this regime, what kind of threat does this blatant corruption pose to our democracy, our institutions, and the American people?

This bill will take food assistance--the literal means by which some people are able to put nutritious food on the table--away from them.

This is what authoritarians do. None of us is safe from this regime.
