I want to start by thanking my colleague from Maryland, Senator Cardin, for pointing out the need for mental health services in our country and the disparities that exist in our country in providing such services. I thank Senator Cardin.

This bill will take food assistance--the literal means by which some people are able to put nutritious food on the table--away from them.

With Hawaii being home to 40% of the country’s endangered and threatened plant species in the country, celebrating biodiversity and promoting environmental conservation is critical to uplifting our state’s history and culture.

So the rampant corruption of this regime, what kind of threat does this blatant corruption pose to our democracy, our institutions, and the American people?
