The trio of storms did severe damage to our islands, destroying homes, wiping out major roads, even devastating the places where we bury and honor our loved ones.

Protecting the people of Hawaiʻi is our highest priority and this approval gives our state and counties the additional federal support needed to act before conditions deteriorate.

Governor Josh Green is actively coordinating state, federal and county recovery efforts to ensure rapid and efficient response, including infrastructure repair, emergency support, financial relief and long-term resilience planning.
