Four major disasters in six months have caused extraordinary damage across our state and made clear that recovery and resilience must move forward together.

Hawaiʻi is facing this storm while continuing response and recovery operations from several prior disasters.

The mayors are all working together and supporting one another and we’re going to continue doing everything we can to help people recover.

We cannot wait for every damaged road, utility pole, harbor and public facility to be assigned a dollar value before asking the federal government to act.
