Josh Green: “Hawaiʻi has always been a place where people should feel they belong.”

Hurricane Lala caused severe damage across our state and placed an extraordinary strain on communities already recovering from previous disasters.

Our state is still recovering from Lala, and we are not waiting for another storm to get close before preparing.

I encourage every military branch to review its holdings in Hawaiʻi and identify other properties that are no longer essential to its mission that can be returned.

Please take this storm seriously and look out for one another.
