These funds play an essential role in communities across the country in towns like Lahaina that have been devastated by fire and help to rebuild housing, infrastructure, and other facilities. The need for this request is urgent. As we look ahead to a hyperactive hurricane and wildfire season, working families and communities across the country are still struggling to rebuild homes and businesses ravaged by the impacts of the last storm cycle.
