I agree that public broadcasting is a vital part of our media landscape.

It is Hawaii viewers who are the real beneficiaries of the current retransmission consent process.

It is therefore incumbent on us to deal with this real and persistent management problem.

I can assure you that we will discuss this matter with DOD to see if they cannot increase funding.
