“I rise to introduce a discussion draft bill that has been developed by Indian tribal governments to provide for the improvement of the management of Indian fish and wildlife resources and to reaffirm that tribal governments are the principal managers of natural resources on tribal lands. The introduction of this discussion draft bill is intended to advance the process of consultation with Indian tribal governments, as well as tribal and Alaska Native organizations.”
