Yes I do, and I would support such closures, as well as taking aggressive action to address the terrible problem of marine debris in the NWHI, which is harming both the corals and our endangered monk seals. Furthermore, I believe it may be appropriate to identify further precautionary actions that our scientists tell us may be necessary to prevent future harm to these resources. However, no action should be taken on these proposals until they can be evaluated publicly by the people of Hawaii.
